The Necessary Unexpected

Today’s new moon marks the last lunar cycle before the Spring Equinox here in the northern hemisphere. It’s a time of rest and completion, of dreaming and imagining possibilities as we prepare for the rebirth of life–and a great time to align with inviting in the “Necessary Unexpected.”What’s the Necessary Unexpected? It’s the helping hand, new idea, or disruptive technology that you never saw coming. Our ego selves would love to believe they have it all under control—that they can see what they need and find a way to get it all on their own, thank you very much.

But in reality, we all need the Necessary Unexpected—life’s miraculous way of breaking through our habits, assumptions, and tired conclusions, bringing us back to juicy vibrant life. One thing I love about Quantum Coaching with my clients is co-creating a space where that Necessary Unexpected is invited as an honored guest, a place set for it where we trust at the right time it will join us for a cup of tea that changes everything.

The Necessary Unexpected doesn’t just happen to you—YOU are the Necessary Unexpected! When you follow your heart, bring your gifts, and speak your truth with grace, wisdom and beauty, you are the medicine in ways you can’t even imagine.

In this month’s video, I did something a little different. This video is a wonderful example of the Necessary Unexpected that inspires me every time I see it. When wolves were reintroduced into Yellowstone National Park here in Montana in the States, they completely transformed the landscape in unexpected ways, bringing lush life and restoration of habitat. You can check out the video here or at the link below.

I feel like my clients and all the people on this newsletter are like these wolves—being their wild selves, and bringing unexpected benefit everywhere they go. Here’s to you–the Wild Ones!

And here’s to the Necessary Unexpected! May it flow in us and through us everywhere we go with great benefit for all.

Warmly,
Jen
